What will be important for Norway in its Africa policy in the coming years?
Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and State Secretary Bjørg Sandkjær will launch Norway’s new strategy for engagement with African countries on Monday, August 19, according to regjeringen.no.
The African continent is rapidly developing. Norway has strong relations with many African countries. To safeguard our future interests, we must strengthen and further develop these relationships in step with a changing world. The government is therefore presenting a new comprehensive strategy for Norwegian engagement with African countries.
It is important to maintain a good and ongoing dialogue on how the strategy can help advance cooperation with African countries, through broad engagement and partnerships based on equality and mutual interests.
